Apple Announcments: March 2020

On Wednesday, Apple made a bunch of product announcements (in the lite of current events just in press releases). They announced a new MacBook Air, an updated iPad Pro and, upgraded accessories.

iPad Pro

The new upgrades iPad Pro comes in both 11-inch and 12.9-inch options with 120hz. Processor wise it has the 8-Core A12Z Bionic. It has a dual-camera system with a 12MP Wide-angle camera that supports 4K video and a 10MP Ultra-Wide camera. The 11-inch starts at US$799 with 128 GB of storage and the 12.9-inch starts at US$999 with 128 GB of storage.

Mac

The upgraded MacBook Air has a 13-inch retina display and a 1.2Ghz i7 processor with 8GB of RAM. It is equipped with the new scissor-switch keyboard. The computer also has the T2 Security Chip, Thunderbolt 3 support and, a Force Touch trackpad. It can drive external up to 6K displays. The base model has 256GB of storage and goes for $999. It can be equipped with up to 2TB. They also announced that the Mac Mini is getting a similar spec bump. Apple didn’t give much info about the Mini updates the press release. It starts at $799 US for the 256GB. 

Accessories

Apple also announced some updates for accessories. They announced that the new Keyboard accessories will have trackpads and also will have a USB-C passthough. Apple Pencil is also getting upgrades.

As far as I can tell everything can be preordered now and starts shipping next week.
