China’s Super-Heavy Lift Rocket Will Carry 100 Tons to the Moon

The planned launch vehicle, known as the Long March-9, will be capable of sending 100 tons to the Moon, and could see its first launch as early as 2030. Announced in 2018, the Long March-9 will play a key role in China’s long-term space ambitions. If all goes as planned, its first payload is likely to be a Martian sample return mission, and it would support China’s Lunar ambitions as well. This morning The Pokemon Company held a Pokemon Presents event as part of their Pokemon Day celebration. The presentation opened with a 10-minute video that went through every Pokemon product in chronological order. They gave more details about New Pokemon Snap during the event and announced the heavily rumoured Sinnoh remakes (Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl).and Pokemon Legends: Arceus. They also announced several in-game events celebrating the 25th anniversary of Pokemon.

NASA has Decided to Start Building the Lunar Gateway Using the Falcon Heavy

This will be the first crewed mission to the lunar surface, and the first mission beyond Low Earth Orbit (LEO), since the closing of the Apollo Era in 1972. This week there’s been lots of Uber news, the DOJ sued Facebook for antitrust and, Disney held their investors’ day where they talked a lot about their streaming strategy. Also, The Game Awards took place on Thursday and more in the Other News section. Uber News Over the last week, Uber announced that they sold off their Self-Driving car division and Joby Aviation. Both were very complicated deals that involved Uber acquiring stock in the companies that the divisions were sold to.
