Earlier this morning SpaceX successfully launched their Falcon-9 with the EchoStar satelite into low-earth orbit. I can’t say they successfully landed because they didn’t attempt. 

The EchoStar satelite that was launched is going to be used for communications and will last according to SpaceX will last about 20 years.
