This week, Apple announced an upgrade to the iPad, released new Apple Watch bands, and launched a Snapchat clone. Consequently, Snap Inc. stock went up 15%. In other news, FedEx will pay you to use Flash, Google Chrome will no longer trust Symantec certificates, the US Senate voted to kill broadband privacy rules, and Super Mario Run is now available on Android.

On Tuesday, Apple announced the “iPad” (simply named iPad), replacing the iPad Air 2. It features an A9 chip and a 9.7-inch screen, starting at $329 for 32GB. While the iPad mini 2 has been discontinued, the Mini 4 remains and now comes with 128GB of storage. Apple also revealed a (PRODUCT)RED iPhone.

Google will start phasing out trust for Symantec certificates in Chrome. This change is effective immediately but will be gradual; Symantec currently issues over 30% of all web certificates. Google stated this action is being taken because Symantec issued “improper” certificates.

The US Senate voted 50-48 to repeal an Obama-era privacy rule that prevented ISPs from tracking and selling users’ browsing data.

In other news, Snap Inc. stock rose 15%, FedEx is offering incentives for users to switch to Flash, and Super Mario Run has officially launched on Android.

On Wednesday, Samsung will hold an event where they are expected to announce the Galaxy S8.
