Samsung Unveils Galaxy XR Headset with Android XR

San Jose, CA – October 21, 2025 – Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy XR headset, previously codenamed Project Moohan. This device is the first to operate on Google’s new Android XR operating system, developed through a collaboration involving Samsung, Google, and Qualcomm Technologies. The Galaxy XR is priced at $1,799.99 for the 256GB model. Availability commenced on October 21, 2025, in the U.S., followed by October 22, 2025, in Korea. This Week Samsung hosted their Unpacked event, SpaceX reused a rocket, you can play Ms Pac-Man in Google Maps, and the EU is looking at putting a backdoor in encrypted messaging apps.  At their Unpacked event Samsung showed off their off their Galaxy S8 and their new AI assistant called Bixby.  On Thursday SpaceX launched a reused rocket for the first time.  Google now allows you to. play Ms Pac-Man in Google Maps.  This week The Next Web published an article about an EU Commissioner who purposed a law that would force encrypted messaging apps to install a backdoor. Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2017

Galaxy S8 and S8+ Samsung has announced the Galaxy S8 and S8+. The phones feature a bezel-less design with curved edges that Samsung calls the “Infinity Display.” The device features an HDR display and a pressure-sensitive home button located under the screen. It also includes an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. For security, the phone utilizes biometric factors such as iris scanning, face recognition, and a fingerprint sensor located on the back of the device. Users can also use traditional passwords, though pattern locking is not included. 5G Technologies 5G is as fast as gigabit. Samsung is launching its 5G infrastructure, along with a 5G router and a partnership with Verizon. Tablets The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is a tablet that features a 9.7-inch AMOLED screen and supports 4K HDR. It includes a special game mode that blocks notifications, and an LTE version is available.
