**San Jose, CA – October 21, 2025** – Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy XR headset, previously codenamed Project Moohan. This device is the first to operate on Google’s new **Android XR** operating system, developed through a collaboration involving Samsung, Google, and Qualcomm Technologies. The Galaxy XR is priced at **$1,799.99** for the 256GB model. Availability commenced on October 21, 2025, in the U.S., followed by October 22, 2025, in Korea. While the announcement event itself was considered by some to be rather dry, the unveiling of a device at half the price of the Vision Pro certainly grabbed attention, even if its own price remains substantial.
